My name is - well, nevermind my name. I am going to be talking a lot of trash about the crazy women in my family (the source of 90% of my stress) as well as my incompetent co-workers (source of the remaining 10%) and I don't want any of them seeing it. I love my family, crazy Italians though they may be, and it would kill me to cause any of them pain in any way. (As for my co-workers, they can rot in Hell.)

I will be attending Stonecoast for my first year in January to receive my MFA in Creative Writing, with a concentration in poetry. I had originally decided to attend another school, but then a certain Stonecoast faculty member who shall remain nameless launched a blitzkreig of phone calls and emails to convince me to come to Stonecoast. I was of two minds on the matter. On the one hand, the other school I was accepted to was ranked very high in the U.S. News and World Report ranking for low-residency MFAs in Creative Writing. This appealed to the snob in me. On the other hand, the Stonecoast faculty's complimentary persistence applied to the narcissist in me. These are two very strong traits of mine (though you would never suspect the latter just looking at how I dress), and for perhaps the first time in my life, they were at odds. Finally, I decided on Stonecoast, partially because the faculty there seemed to actually care about my work, and partially because they seemed to put a much greater emphasis on neo-formalist poetry than any other school to which I had been accepted.

So yeah. Screw U.S. News and World Report.
